Max is a Lead Medic and Educator at Mr Paramedic Pty Ltd and Students Save Lives. Max brings an energy and fun to the incursions that we all love! 

Tell us a bit about how you ended up working at Students Save Lives?

I have always been interested in the field of medicine and helping people. Seeing how medical practitioners perform their skills first-hand from various injuries I've had I wanted to learn more and become a medic.

What do you love about the Students Save Lives incursions?

The answers and replies I hear from the kids are always gold! Never a dull moment for 4-year-olds!

What is the best thing about teaching young children life-saving skills?

Watching the kids carry out the steps and CPR perfectly and seeing how stoked they are. It still amazes me how much they take in from an incursion in such a short amount of time. The kids are like little sponges; it’s a privilege to teach them these life-saving skills. 

What is the funniest question you’ve had from a child during an incursion?

More so an answer, I asked the kids about potential “dangers” at home, and a little boy yelled out – “A VOLCANO!”
